Like it or not, Christmas will be here before you know it, so it’s time once again to begin making Christmas crafts, such as homemade ornaments or mobiles. Every new Christmas season allows me to once again be creative! It also means finding new Christmas craft ideas. But that’s a blast, so I kind of look forward to it every year. I’m pretty sure I can gather all the components I need in just a short time.
As a rule my process is to look for antique Christmas clip art that inspires me to create something wonderful. Since this will be a Christmas project, I will limit my searches to Christmas tree clip art. That should be simple, due to the number of Christmas images available on the World Wide Web. It’s also been my past experience that vintage Xmas cards that anyone can find on the World Wide Web make great bases for Christmas craft projects. Since these digital cards already have great Christmas designs, a fun craft project can be created pretty easily.
Another marvelous idea for creating Christmas crafts is to use free Christmas scrapbook embellishments. These include vintage art, paper photo frames, borders and many other fun elements. As an example, dimensional stickers have recently become very popular. Additionally, printed scrapbook papers — whether digital or store-bought — can add sparks of color to the finished product. Card-making professionals also use these papers and embellishments, so it’s proven that their use produces good results. So when you set about making Christmas crafts this upcoming holiday season, remember to go online. Keep things basic and let the art you choose shine through. That will give you a visual advantage from the start and will help you create with ease. A lot of compliments from friends and family will probably result. And if crafts sales are what you’re after, you can be confident that your crafts will be attractive enough to actually make you money.
