31 Gifts success seekers: Want to dominate and build a HUGE business?
If you wish to become a top earner, you must go well beyond your circle of friends and family.
It’s imperative you master the basics of marketing- like any real business
I’ve been groomed by 6 and 7-figure income earners who taught me the following strategies we quietly use to build large businesses:
- Marketing Is More Critical Than Duplication
Traditionally, network marketers in companies like 31 Gifts are taught to keep their business-building activities extremely simple and duplicatable by others Focus On Marketing More Than Duplication People in network marketing opportunities like 31 Gifts are told they need to keep everything they do simple so people in their 31 Gifts downline can duplicate these activities.
Does this keep everything duplicatable strategy actually work? For a small minority of marketers, this approach works well. But for the extreme majority of multilevel marketers in opportunities like 31 Gifts, keeping everything allegedly duplicatable does NOT lead to high levels of duplication.
To prove this to you, look at these stats:
- Only about 20% of network marketers in 31 Gifts ever sponsor anyone at all.
- Of those that do sponsor people, most will only sponsor 2-3 people total.
- The remaining 80% of your 31 Gifts downline won’t ever do a darn thing.
The keep-everything-duplicatable strategy that network marketers in 31 Gifts are taught (like some ancient gospel) actually only causes 20% of the people to sponsor anyone…and they tend to sponsor a tiny number of people!
Keeping everything you do duplicatable will NOT maximize your 31 Gifts income and it also creates problems few talk about. The most common way to keep it simple is to use warm market recruiting, which is to approach family and friends and present the 31 Gifts business opportunity to them. For decades network marketers have been teaching this strategy not because it’s the best but because its the most simple…but simple does not mean effective!
Warm market recruiting can lead people to quit 31 Gifts. After a person runs out of friends and family to talk to about their 31 Gifts business, they often get frustrated and quit the business because they literally have NO IDEA how to do the one thing that can bring in new reps like clockwork, day in and day out: marketing and advertising. The second problem this friends and family approach creates is it repels high caliber prospects. Ideal prospects for a 31 Gifts busines, people with transferable skills and large personal and professional networks such as real estate professionals, professional salespeople, and other business people tend NOT to want to approach family and friends about their opportunity. For many professionals, their reputation is their most valuable asset, and few professionals tend to feel comfortable introducing their associates to a business opportunity with which they just got started.
So should you begin by approaching friends and family about your 31 Gifts business? Certainly. But unless you learn at least one rock solid marketing and advertising approach, you will run out of people to talk to. Keep in mind your highest quality prospects are going to want to implement a professionally sales and marketing approach as well. Learn to market online and you can grow a 31 Gifts business with less duplication, while you attract higher caliber prospects into your business. If only a few high caliber team members learn to market 31 Gifts online, you could build a very large 31 Gifts organization.”"
- Generate Leads
Build a list of leads by using the internet. Do not merely rely on approaching friends and family. The leads you attract online will sign up into your 31 Gifts business more frequently than leads you buy.
Generating your own leads means you never run out of 31 Gifts leads. Here’s a simple way to create leads: Give away a free piece of training in exchange for contact information.
Develop a free training that teaches network marketers how to solve one or more critical business problems. There are many topics to choose from: how to close more, how to generate leads, how to increase duplication and more.
The format of your training should be easy to deliver online, such as a relevant video clip, online webinar, email series, or a free PDF report. Include a form on your website where the prospect can enter his contact information in exchange for the training.
Every time someone downloads the free bonus training, you get a lead for you 31 Gifts business. Follow up with these leads by phone and email and some will eventually join your 31 Gifts business.
- Diversify Your Income Streams
Add other revenue sources to your 31 Gifts business. Banking solely on 31 Gifts is very risky. Your downline leaders could quit. The duplication rate in your 31 Gifts downline might decline. 31 Gifts management team might change the comp. plan or add restrictions you don’t like.
Diversifying lowers risk and increases income. When you diversify your revenue, be sure to do it in a way that does not distract you from your 31 Gifts business.
Select one or more of the following ways to add new revenue lines:
Become an affiliate marketer. Sign up as an affiliate to promote the services, courses, and system you use in your business. Your reputation is at stake, so only promote affiliate products you feel good about. Typical affiliate commissions are 30%-50%.
Another strategy is to take your content and make it into a product. When you do webinars, record and sell them. Gather a set of your videos and sell them as a course. Collect your blog posts and articles and make an e-book out of them.
Another strategy is to provide coaching to your students. Price your offer so it’s worth your time.
