Saturday, April 2nd, 2011Angel Innocent Perfume by Thierry Mugler
Monday, September 28th, 2009“Innocent, spirited and playful, instantly seduces with a sparkling, fruity cloud. Its tender, delicious mist envelops the skin with delight, inspiring a desire for eternal renewal.” (Sephora.com)
Angel Innocent by Thierry Mugler is for the woman who prefers to seduce through innocent charm. Its sweet, non-invasive fragrance fills the air with a carnival of sweets that features sugared almonds, praline, candied fruits and chocolate truffles. This delicious scent is a a fusion of lush notes that include bergamot, mandarin, helional, honey, dewberry, black currant, passion fruit, red berries, almonds, meringue and amber musk. Although laden with confectionery sweets, Innocent is not as cloying as the original Angel. The fragrance evokes pictures of youth and as the name suggests, innocence. It is more fresh and suits a young woman perfectly.
Innocent opens up with a creamy blend of fruits and florals. The orange blossoms stand out giving it a nice citrusy scent. It dries down to a romantic blend of ambery musk, vanilla and meringue. The sillage reeks a familiar Angel character in it. Longevity is moderate and perfume reviewers agree that is it best worn during the winter months.
One perfume fan commented, “It starts out sweet and fresh and the dry down is much lighter then Angel. The dewberry gives it a sweet and fruity touch on me and I love it for it, when the base notes take over there is only a hint left of the earlier notes and the sweetness changes into something more subtle and harder to notice.” As Angel Innocent is a lighter fragrance than the parent, the dry down may be fainter. With some users, the sillage is a lot better. Angle Innocent holds longer on the skin. According to another perfume critic, “This scent really smells very happy. reminds me of a shower of sweet and younger days of my life – carefree and full of dreams. I think it’s because of the honey. This is a quiet but strong fragrance do not be mislead.”
Created by perfume designer Laurent Bruyere, Innocent was introduced in the market in 1998. Thierry Mugler’s fragrances include Angel Caprice de Star (2007), A*Men Pure Coffee (2008) and Alien Eau Luminiscente (2008).
What Happens To My Photos When My Hard Drive Crashes?
Monday, September 21st, 2009Sweetie!?! The computer is making a strange clicking sound.
What’s that smell? Is something on fire?
Weren’t all your pictures on that computer?
Oh, no!
Don’t be a loser … like me. I am talking about loss, data loss. For digital photography I’m talking about all of your life’s photography that is likely stored all in one place: your PC’s hard drive.
Wedding pictures, vacation pictures, birthdays, holidays; these precious moments of your life can be lost in an instant from a bolt of lightning or the spark of static electricity you might pick up from rubbing your feet across the carpet. Machines are imperfect and do fail, and by Murphy’s Law, they will fail at the worst possible time.
If you experience a hard drive failure it could cost between $300 and $3000 to recover the data depending on the severity of the hard drive crash, and this service is not guaranteed. The data could be lost permanently anyway. What dollar value do you place on your digital photo archive?
Here is a short list of things you can do to protect your valuable photos, videos and other personal data:
Buy and Keep Your Antivirus Software Up To Date
Malicious viruses can erase your hard drive. Use a system that is updates it’s virus definitions automatically every day.
Keep Your PC Serviced
When dust collects in and around your hard drives, they overheat and that will shorten the life of the drive. Your computer acts just like an electrostatic air filter. Have it serviced by a professional at least once a year and keep them off of the carpeted floor, away from dust and pet dander.
I recommend getting an air filter and keep it in the room with your PC. Your computer will not ingest as much dust, and as an added benefit, the air you breathe will be fresher at the same time.
Keep Your Data and Photos Backed Up
Photos and data backup over the Internet is becoming a very popular as a data backup choice. This was formerly a pretty expensive solution for the convenience, but with the lowering cost and expanding capacity of hard drives, many web based services are popping up. Online backup is like buying an insurance policy for your digital photo archives.
Here are the advantages of backing up to the Internet:
You can backup securely over any high speed Internet connection.
Since your data is stored on a server offsite, you are covered from events such as PC theft, fire or hard drive failure. Just think what would happen if there is a flood, earthquake or other natural disaster at the place your backups are stored.
The best way to regularly back up your data and keep your data backup offsite is to open a free account with Mozy.com. With MozyHome you can backup 2 Gigabytes for free, and for $4.95 per month (even less with an annual subscription) you can back up an unlimited amount of data from your home computer. They have great prices for business computers as well.
Many online backup companies offer a low cost data backup only to charge you on the back side to restore your backup data. Not so with Mozy. They have no hidden fees! When I asked their tech support to confirm, they told me “We don’t hold your data for ransom.”
So, don’t be a loser. You’ve invested hours and dollars in your digital photo library. It is literally priceless. One day (maybe even tomorrow) you will be glad you did, or sorry you didn’t. Save early and save often, and make data backup a critical part of your digital photography processes.
You might even encourage your friends to back up their data (send them a link to this article!) You may become one of their biggest heroes the next time they experience a data loss event.

Be Fast And Strong In Martial Arts
Sunday, September 20th, 2009When you learn martial arts onlinelearn there are a few areas in which you need to ensure that you have good techniques. Things like power and accuracy are some of the attributes you need. However if you develop them in the wrong order long term it can lead to bad habits.
Power
Once where happy with the form and speed of the technique then we can start focus on adding more power to the skill or technique. To hit a target as fast as you can won’t have much effect in a real self defence situation if there is no power in your strikes. To start adding more power focus on bending your knees slightly and digging your toes in the floor, it’s what boxers call sitting down in your technique. To add power into your technique you need to hit targets, a kick shield, focus pad or bag will help in this area. Focus your mind on going through the target with your technique and relaxing your body and only tensing your muscles at the exact moment of impact.
Accuracy
In self defense situations it’s often not what you strike with but where you strike that has the most effect. For example if you punch someone in the face it may not have as much effect if you struck someone in the throat. So when practicing your techniques be aware where you are striking because muscle memory can set in, if you shadow your front kick and you strike the chest area it’s going to be a natural reaction to hit this area in a real situation as oppose to a more effective area to strike such as the bladder.
You can develop accuracy through martial arts training and shadowing by visualizing your opponent and making it real in your mind and be aware of your target area you aim to strike. Do it in your mind first by visualizing, imagine striking with power, imagine what effect this strike has on your opponent or attacker, and then actually do it for real, you will see a big difference in your performance.
Create Custom Wedding Rings
Monday, September 7th, 2009For those looking for something a little different for their wedding rings, there is nothing better then getting personalized wedding rings. So many people end up with cookie-cutter, look-a-like wedding rings that don’t express the personality of the wearer. While some people may not mind this at all, there are many other people who can truly appreciate having custom wedding rings as a way to mark their special day. Showing each other how much you care and love one another can be accomplished through such personalized jewelry.
Having one of a kind rings are also a way of bringing a little bit of the individual personalities to the wedding. It is a way of truly expressing the love they have for each other in their own special words. Maybe it is a special saying that has a unique meaning to the happy couple that can be engraved on the top of the rings or on the inside of the rings. Either way, it is a special way to show affection to one another.
A traditional romantic phrase or statement of fidelity is always popular – “Forever,” “Soulmate,” “The One.”. Including the wedding date (especially in Roman numerals) is a very popular choice for personalization. You can have the date written out or have it engraved as elegant Roman numerals.
Adding the names of the happy couple is another great way to put together the personalized wedding rings. It could be a nickname that is used, just a first name, or a first name with the middle name or middle initial. Either way, names are a fantastic and very popular way to express individuality in the custom wedding rings. A second wedding may have you trying a different way.
If the happy couple had a child or two together, the rings could be engraved with the names of their children making it all that much more special. Special savings or phrases are another popular way of expressing the undying love the couple has for one another. The words true love, soul mate, forever, and twin souls are just a few words that could be used for personalized wedding rings.
Once you have decided what type of words or sayings you want engraved in the rings, it is time to decide what language you want it in. While English is the most common language chosen, other languages choices can add an air of the exotic. If you want to take heritage into consideration then you may want to have your personalized wedding rings engraved with a language that represents who you are. Chinese symbols are also a great way to express your love for one another and leaving the message secret from other people.
In the end it is all about what the two of you want as a couple. What makes it special for you will be different then what makes it special for someone else. Choose what you love and has meaning to you and you’ll express your personalily.
